4/01/89-9/01/03
Sole-proprietor/Contract Programmer/Network Engineer - Written programs
in over a dozen different languages,of which,
Clarion is my favorite! I've used Clarion Professional Developer 2.1 since 1989 to design,
modify, and implement a General
Comprehensive
Accounting
system (which Clarion Corp. used at one time), Bar-Code applications for inventory, invoicing,
and shipping,
Order tracking, and various
other
manufacturing and business applications, successfully. I've authored, roughly, a
dozen websites since 1996.
I've used Clarion For Windows
Enterprise Edition since
version 1 and am currently using Clarion 6.3 Enterprise Edition. Right now I'm
working
on my own general comprehensive
accounting system for small/medium sized companies. I've recently completed
an Inventory and Order Tracking systemfor a multi-million dollar beauty
supplies distributor, a POS
system for their retail outlets, among
other varied warehousing systems. I've produced a personal finance debt-elimination
application system
along with accelerated mortgage
reduction. I've taught many programmers, all across America, the Clarion language
and style of
advanced rapid
programming. Just finished
researching Cellular and Spectrum 24 Portable Pocket Data Terminals, from
Symbol Technologies, for a
retail distribution warehouse. Completed an install of Win2000 Server replacing the existing BackOffice Small Business
Server 4.5 that I installed 3
years ago, which serves the
Inventory w/ Order Tracking and Accounts Receivable system I wrote (in C5b) for
a beauty supply distributor, in
Ft. Lauderdale,
mentioned above. Experienced installing, configuring and
administering Novell, Windows BackOffice, NT, and 2000
servers/networks.
Client projects I have completed
9/99 - 12/31/00
Topspeed/Sensium Corporation - Programmer/Consultant.
Program, install, maintained client applications in every type
of small to medium sized enterprise businesses. My forte' is business
applications including accounting, inventory control, production
control, banking, condo management, business insurance, parker management, beauty supplies
distribution management, order entry and
invoicing, and credit-card and account analysis and auditing. I teach computer
programming to various programmers of every level, all over
the country, to help them meet their programming and technology needs. I use Clarion
for Windows Enterprise Edition 5.5h to create and
maintain these system applications.
3/89 3/99:
Owner/President of Keep It Simple Solutions, Inc. specializing in Personal
Computer Consulting as Network Engineer &
Programmer. Developed complete Advanced
BASIC and CLARION systems for clients; setup Novell, Windows NT and windows 95/98
networks and workstations for many varied needs in all kinds of businesses, large and
small. Setup many websites along with my own
website.
3/92 Current:
Exclusive Beauty Supplies, Inc. Installed &
maintain computerized general comprehensive accounting system.
Programmed a special communications module to control orders received via modem from
Telxon handheld computers used by 40+
salespeople in the field. Programmed a
complete sales-history module capturing all detail from orders for sales
analysis by management.
Setup their retail outlet
with POS
system (including cash drawers) which I authored in CPD 2.1 interfacing with their accounting
system with
remote price updating, too. Operating
system used here is DOS on Citrixs OS/2 network.
11/96 2/97: AAA
Financial Corp. Authored a Debt
Elimination Program which calculates any of three tailored accelerated debt
elimination schedules designed to reduce both the time it takes to pay off the loans and
the total interest paid. 2/92 5/92 I taught 2
programmers how to program in Clarion Professional Developer (CPD). Using CPD 2.1, I developed an adjustable
mortgage rate-auditing
program to verify or correct a debtors interest paid to banks. This program recalculates the
interest charged on debts using adjustable rate
tables by date and produces
detailed documentation.
